Children in Need Day – 20th November

Children who wish to come to school wearing a Pudsey bandanna may do so, and Key Stage 1 will be making teddy sized bandannas to buy on Friday morning for 50 p each.
Jayne and Deborah from the office will be selling delicious home-made treats in the form of shortbread Pudsey biscuits and decorated cup cakes.  Children can buy individual cakes/biscuits at break time for 50p each and bags of goodies will be on sale at the end of the day.

Raffle Tickets will also be available at £1 per strip for a chance to win your own Pudsey from the selection displayed in the office from next week.

Year 3 will also be holding a cake stall and, last but not least, we will have a collection bucket for any other donations to the cause!

Healthy Schools Week 16th to 20th November

Our aim this year, with children and parents, is to raise awareness of eating more healthily and the benefits of physical activity.  During our focused health week each class will visit a local farm or work with other agencies, as well as looking at different food groups and balanced diets.

There will be an Open Afternoon on 17th November where parents will be invited into school between 2pm and 3.15pm to see the children at work on some of the health related activities.  Later in the week, on 19th November, there will be a Curriculum Evening between 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm
