Autumn term 2008

Years 3 and 4 are currently learning all about France. So far, the  children have enjoyed booking holidays to France in our class travel agents; making crepes and French bread and waiting tables in our
outdoor cafe, 'Cafe Vert'. Through this, the children have had the opportunity to practise conversational French. Many thanks to Mrs Curtis, who has used her expertise to encourage the children to speak French.

Our assembly, earlier in the term, was tres bon! The children wowed the school with their ability to deliver an entire assembly 'en Francais'.

During this half term, there will be an art focus and we hope to display the children's completed artwork in our class gallery. We will be studying the works of Seurat, Rodin,Monet and Cezanne, both in our art lessons, and as part of our non-fiction unit of work in Literacy.

Later this term we will have a treat in store for all the parents. Rob Pudner, our drama expert, will be working with us over the next few weeks to create a pantomime which we hope you will enjoy nearer Christmas...Oh no you won't...Oh yes you will!
